Abstract:The Yangtze River will experience flood and dry seasons every year, and the river channel will have greater scouring and siltation, and even bank collapse and other dangerous situations. It is necessary to dynamically monitor and analyze the river regime. Taking the Dongliu reach as an example, the river channel is studied by using the methods of hydrological test, characteristic line comparison, section mapping and GIS scouring and silting calculation. The evolution characteristics of the river regime in the Dongliu reach in recent years are summarized as follows: Sedimentation in the upper and lower section and scouring in the middle section. The overall performance of the river reach is scour. The conclusion is representative and provides a theoretical data basis for river regulation and protection of the Yangtze River.
